Cornerboys
Cornerboys tells the dark fairy tale of Jennifer Lynn, who searches the night streets for home but finds only the rat-eyed and restless Cornerboys. Inspired in equal parts by Christina Rossetti’s Goblin Market, the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm and later practitioners like Tim Burton and Brian Froud, and the gritty urban Gothics of the 19th century, Cornerboys began life ten years ago as a poem by Jamieson Ridenhour, published in a now-defunct horror ‘zine. The resurrected version features a dramatic reading illustrated in Ali LaRock’s trademark dark whimsical style, supported by Kevin Smith’s wickedly elfin orchestral score.

I would love to be able to show this in my Victorian lit seminar!
It’ll be available on the Internet by the end of next week, Ayse. Feel free to show away. It’s not strictly Victorian, but it would make a nice companion piece to Goblin Market.
Great, thanks for this story. I am writing an essay on the Goblin Market in Dr. Dan Shea’s English class at Austin Peay in Clarksville, TN. He sent this link to his students about your story. Again it is great, and I loved it. Keep it up, and I hope to see other work of yours in the future.
