Tour Dates and Updates
You may have noticed that Barking Mad’s release date was listed as June 6th and that I did not make any big noise about it when that date came and went. Or perhaps you didn’t notice. You have now noticed. There were some snags in the timeline with some of the major online retailers (mainly the one named after the South American river), and Typecast decided to put off the date until that was smoothed out. The official release has been pushed back until next Monday, June 13th.
That’s the “official” release date. In practice, though, the book is out and about. If you were smart enough to pre-order, then you’ve more than likely already gotten your copy, and I’ve begun hearing reports from folks who are reading/have read it. Happiness has been the result so far.
The reading tour is more or less set. I’m still confirming with the bookstore in Atlanta before I announce that as final, and the big Bismarck event in August is still under construction, but here are the dates:
BARKING MADNESS TOUR
June 25th MINOT, ND Main Street Books, 1pm. Reading and signing.
July 7th ST. LOUIS, Firecracker Press, 7pm Halloween in July: reading, letterpressed monster masks, other shenanigans TBA.
July 8th LOUISVILLE, KY Quills Coffee, 7:30pm Official launch event in Typecast’s hometown. Reading/signing, live music, antics.
July 12th BOONE, NC Black Bear Books, 7pm. Reading and signing.
July 14th ASHEVILLE, NC Grateful Steps Bookstore, 7pm. Reading and signing.
July 16th COLUMBIA, SC, Columbia Museum of Art, 2pm. Reading and signing.
July 19th FLORENCE, SC Bean Groovy Coffeeshop, 7pm Reading and signing.
July 21st ATLANTA, GA details TBA.
August 13th BISMARCK, ND Details TBA (this one’s gonna be fun, y’all).
You can find those dates over on the Calendar page as well, in case you don’t want to search the blog for them. I hope to see lots of you at each stop on the tour. The St. Louis and Louisville stops will be particularly fraught with frolic–Firecracker Press will be printing broadsides of the novel while I read, and there’ll be a live band in Louisville I hear–but at every event there will be two shovelsful of werewolfish fun.
I’ll update more soon, and there will be lots of talk next Monday when the book launches. See you soon!
